Clare sighed and looked up at him. “It’s just everything is becoming too much to handle and I don’t know how much more I can take. I tried to kill myself last night, I bought some pills from Bianca, and took too many. I am really scared.” She sighed and looked back down while fidgeting with her hospital blanket. “I am always going to alone, lets face it.”
“You seem like a strong girl, Clare. You’ve made it this far. You’re just going through a rough time in your life, everyone had those.” Owen tried to look her in the eyes but she kept her eyes down. “You’re not always going to be alone. You have your friends and family, and as for a guy in your life, maybe right now isn’t the time for one. I don’t have a girlfriend and I’m fine. You can be fine too.”
“Maybe you are right. I probably just need to go back to the bible thumping innocent girl with a denim jacket.” She sighed and looked up at him. “How are you so wise, but make such dumb decisions sometimes.” Clare said referring to all the bullying he did to Zane and Riley.
“I think you should do whatever you think you should do. Whether it’s that or just going out and having fun.” He shrugged. “Like I said, people change. I’m not the same guy I used to be.” He gave her a small smile.
Clare smiled softly. “Let me guess you found Jesus?” She giggled thinking back to when Fitz had claimed to be sipping on the Jesus juice just to get Clares attention it still made her laugh.
